A dedicated group of reining enthusiasts formed OKRHA.

2 shows and four full slates of classes and their first year end awards at a play day held at the Wagman Ranch.

With Tami Wagman as the chair, OKRHA put on their first Tulsa Reining Classic, which included Jim Glover as the title sponsor. This event was such a success the fire marshal had to close the doors of the first ever “Slide Zone”. The Year End OKRHA Banquet was held in Gilcrease, OK in January of 2005.

This was OKRHA first year to put on a clinic and it was a great success. Held at Brewster’s Ranch in Bristow with headliner Shawn Flarida, and Bob Loomis and Carole Metcalf holding sessions over the two day event. It capped off with a wonderful dinner, dancing and a great band. The OKRHA Year End Banquet was held at the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City in February of 2006.

2006 featured a full slate of shows and a clinic in Durant with Tim McQuay and SteveRoss educating the riders and auditors. OKRHA purchased a10 ft. Kiser drag and the OKRHA Year End Banquet was held in Gilcrease, OK in February of 2007.


This was another packed year, kicking off with a spring show in Tulsa, summer show a the Lazy E in Guthrie, and Todd Crawford did a clinic for us in Claremore. The 4th annual Tulsa Reining Classic had a new naming sponsor, Ariat, and the futurity was sponsored by John Deere. OKRHA also partnered with Mid America Equine Sales and Futurity and had over 900 stalls sold. The OKRHA Year End Banquet was held at Lucilles in Mulhall, Oklahoma in January of 2008.

After a successful year of fun and showing, the Year End Banquet and Awards was held at Granny Had
One in downtown Guthrie. Live guitar music and singing were provided by Jeff Tuttle and Billy Robinson.

Had a great year of shows, friendship, learning, and fun. The Year End Banquet moved to 312 W.
Oklahoma in downtown Guthrie, with a delicious meal which was privately catered.

The ATRC was sold to the Global Reining Sport Group for 2011.

With another great year of showing in OKRHA, the Year End Banquet and Awards was again held at
the “No Name” Restaurant in downtown Guthrie, and was privately catered. A great time was had by all
as we celebrated the 2011 results and prepared to begin the 2012 show year.
